Dillon Simmonds(born April 29, 2005) was the former captain of the under 16’s team for Phoenix. He is the son of Graham Simmonds and Joanne Simmonds, as well as the older brother of Liam Simmonds. As of season 6, he is dating Elliot.







He was best friends with Harry Armstrong, captain of the Kingsmount year 7 and 8 squad, but Harry left before year 9. He then befriended the founder and captain of Phoenix, Jack Marshall.

When Jack left Phoenix to go to London by train for the Archfield women’s football team, he then made the new captain, Zoe Moore, his best friend, Zoe abdicated her captaincy in favour of Jamie Johnson, his former enemy, but Jamie lost his captaincy for being too bossy, Dillon was made captain instead. Although he briefly lost his position as captain to Jamie, after an injury involving Jamie, Dillon was the new captain. He really impressed Pheonix’s new coach Molly with his skills on the team.






Biography[]

Jamie Johnson was a new student at Kingsmount Academy, and he initially befriended popular Dillon and Harry. But when Jamie witnessed Dillon and Harry bullying Boggy Bogson, Jamie became best friends with Boggie and a female footballer called Jacqueline, a.k.a, Jack. In series 2 Dillon developed type 1 diabetes, and Dillon hates having a weakness. In season 3 Dillon begins dating a popular girl called Indira. But they eventually break up due to him hiding that Hawkstone had let him go the week before. In season 4, his younger brother Liam is introduced.



Harry Armstrong used to be his best friend/sidekick until Harry changed schools. The two would bully Jamie together and get into mischief together too. They would often spend time out of school together practising football. With Harry's departure, Dillion was alone but quickly managed to make friends.

Dillon used to play for Hawkstone Academy but got let go because of his bad attitude and sportsmanship. 

He was offered a place in Foxborough's Youth Training Scheme.

(Season 5 Episode 7 'Cup Final Shook') Dillion is announced to be the captain for the cup finals against Foxborough and is elated but feeling the pressure without Jamie. During the 1st half, he gets 2 fouls from being too aggressive but does not get sent off. His younger brother cheers very loudly for Foxborough until he is told to stop as his brother is on the other team by Alba. Throughout the 1st half, he is distracted by the fact the Elliot believes that Dillion is homophobic like his younger brother. Mike tells him that as long as he has a clear head, they can win the game. During the rest, they are all told to do it for themselves and Jamie. Dillion evidently pays more attention after Mike mentions how much Jamie would love to be in their boots. Just before the second half starts, Dillion quickly rushed over to that stands to talk to Elliot and Ruby. Ruby clearly ignoring him and annoyed.

During the second half, he is back to his usual winning self; passing, encouraging people. He even talked to them beforehand to encourage them and raise their spirits. He scores the winning gold making the score 3-2 with the other two goals being from Zoe and Kat. He lifts the cup and receives the winners gold medal. His brother is clearly proud and takes a picture with him although he pretends that he isn't that proud of Dillion. Later Mike, says that a Foxborough coach was there and that Dillion has been accepted to Foxboughes Youth Training Skeme to his delight. As he leaves, Elliot walks with him. Dillion says that it was pressure not that he was disgusted by the fact the Elliot is gay. Elliot replies that Dillion isn't the only one with pressure and that Dillion's attitude changed once he knew that Elliot was gay. As Elliot walks away in disbelief, Dillion says " My problem's not with you. It's with myself. (long pause) I think I might be gay as well." Dillion is then seen slightly smiling and relieved, showing that this was what was plaguing his mind all this time.

(Season 5 Episode 8 'Outside the Box') Dillon lies to his dad saying that he is going out to do extra training but he is actually going out to talk to Elliot and then goes to get ready. His dad asks him if he is using his dad's aftershave to which he replies no. His dad questions if Dillon is going on a date and says that he can worry about girls later, as once he is playing professionally for Foxbouraugh he will have girls queuing to go out with him.

Elliot asks him if he was ever attracted to girl to which he replies that he has always flirted with the hottest girls, and that he had dated Indira and how everyone fancied her and how he flirted and kissed Duncan Jones’s daughter, Sienna, in front of millions of people on the kisscam at the gothia cup so he had to make-up that he liked another girl to avoid herself asking him out. Dillon asked when Elliot knew that he was gay to which Elliot replies 'since I was born'. Elliot tells him that he shouldn't have to hide who he is to please other people but Dillon worries about how his dad will react and if it will affect his football career as he hasn't heard of many openly gay football players. However, Liam sees them holding hands from a distance and they don't see him hiding. Jealous Liam, who is being ignored by his father, and not been treated fairly sees this as an opportunity to be number 1 to his dad for just once in his life.

At home, when his dad is saying how proud he is of Dillon but not Liam, Liam says 'It's a shame he is gay then'. Dillon is shocked that Liam saw them and his dad is disgusted and angry. Liam says that Elliot is probably his boyfriend and that he thought they were going to kiss. His dad was sad and angry and asked Dillon if he is gay, or not, to which Dillon replies that he thinks he is gay. This causes Dillon to be kicked out of the house, shocking Liam. But Dillon’s dad eventually agrees to allow Dillon back in the house and accept him, under the influence of Graham’s wife and Liam.

Dillon is later revealed to have quit Foxbrough academy and joined Northport rovers football team, with a newly healed a newly healed Jamie!

Season 6[]

In season 6, it is revealed that he and Elliot have been dating for a couple of months and Elliot sees himself as part of the family. He has openly come out as gay to the Northport Rovers Football Team but he was initially worried about their response.
